桃金村隶属福建省三明市宁化县石壁镇，位于镇域中西部，北邻隆陂水库，村域东西向有永宁高速公路穿过。[1][2]

相传村民开荒时在河中能淘得金沙，村名取“淘”“桃”谐音而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属龙上下里，民国时期属石碧乡，称桃金保。建国初属二区，设桃金乡；1958年归石碧公社，设桃金大队。[1]

1966年，此村改由禾口公社管辖，称红星大队，1975年夏又恢复桃金大队的名称。1984年归禾口乡，设桃金村民委员会；1993年11月以后隶属石壁镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
