历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，此地归龙上下里管辖；民国时期隶属禾口乡，称作杨边保。解放初期划入二区的小吴乡，1958年改由禾口公社的小吴大队管理。[1]
1961年分设杨边大队与虎龙大队，1966年两队合并为团结大队，取杨边、虎龙两村团结友好之意。1984年改属禾口乡，设杨边村民委员会，1993年11月划归石壁镇。[1]
文化[edit]
2013年初，本村被确定为省级美丽乡村示范点。[2]
2020年2月，本村入选「第三批省级传统村落」名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1][3]
2021年12月，本村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」；福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月将本村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1][3]
2024年6月，「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单公布，杨边村上榜。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
吴氏大厝等清光绪年间建造的古建筑仍保存在村中。[3]
