谌坑村是湖村镇下辖的行政村，2024年1月被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[1][2]

地名与历史[edit]

村名因地处沉长山坑旁而得名，「谌」通「沉」。明代称沉坑村，清代改为谌亨村，民国时为谌坑保。[1][2]

谌坑自然村始建于明代宣德年间。1958年归城关公社，设为谌坑大队；1967年改隶湖村公社，1974年复名谌坑大队，1984年设谌坑村民委员会。[2]

民俗[edit]

据百度百科，村内保留农历九月初一庙会的传统，有人戏、木偶戏等民俗活动。[1]
