湖村村是湖村镇下辖的行政村，村内有老虎岩遗址。2012年获评市级文明村，2024年1月被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子唐朝时建立，相传原址是一片湖泊。此后曾用米子糖、桐柿、登龙乡、乌虎洞、龙珠村等名，明末清初称乌村。[1][3]

1941年改名蛟湖，1942年定名为湖村。1958年设湖村大队，1974年复名湖村，1984年改设湖村村民委员会。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

老虎岩遗址是旧石器时代晚期的洞穴遗址，2009年列为省级文物保护单位。[4]
