小溪村位于宁化县城区西部，属翠江镇。村名因有小溪流经村中而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属县城中的上进坊，民国时期属第一区城南镇，设小溪、大忠、横街、上进四保。建国初期设小溪乡，1956年改属城关镇，1958年改为城关公社小溪大队，1984年改属翠江镇，设小溪村民委员会。[1]

2022年10月，小溪村被省农业农村厅列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

小溪谢氏家庙位于村内，其创建年份为清康熙五十一年，即1712年。建筑坐西南朝东北，占地1061平方米，正堂与襄功堂均为抬梁与穿斗结合的梁架，硬山屋顶。2013年1月，它被公布为福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[2]

1931年7月，红一方面军经过宁化，毛泽东与朱德都曾在这座宗祠住宿。1933年9月至1934年9月间，这里一度作为红军医院使用，现存部分医疗设施与红军标语。[2]
