双虹村位于宁化县城区南部，属翠江镇。县城的两条大街穿村而过，村名出自民国时期设立的双虹保。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时此地在县城的下进坊之内；民国时期隶属第一区城南镇，分为双虹、寿宁、塔街三个保。建国初期设双虹乡，1956年改属城关镇，1958年改为城关公社双虹大队，改革开放前一度称东方红大队。1984年改属翠江镇，设双虹村民委员会。[1]
2007年，双虹村被定为「市推行办事公开制度市级示范单位」；2022年10月，双虹村被省农业农村厅列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1][2]
