翠江镇是福建省三明市宁化县下辖的镇，位于县境中部，也是宁化县城所在地，别名翠城。[1][4][3]

镇名取自流经镇中的翠江，这是县境内最大的河流。此地自五代后唐同光元年（923年）起为县署驻地，明清时属在城里。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年设城关镇，1958年改为城关公社。1984年8月，城镇革命委员会更名为翠江镇。[2][3]

2021年2月，翠江镇入选福建省2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区名单；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积27平方千米（2023年）。翠江在镇中穿流而过。[1][3]

人口[edit]

2023年，全镇户籍人口47480人，常住人口约9.2万人。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内的省级文物保护单位有伊秉绶故居和小溪谢氏家庙。伊秉绶故居位于红卫村，为清代书法家伊秉绶的旧居，2025年12月31日由福建省人民政府公布，列为第十一批省级文物保护单位；小溪谢氏家庙位于小溪村，2013年1月列入第八批省级文物保护单位。[5][6]

北山顶峰上的宁化革命烈士纪念碑建于1977年，高18米，是革命遗址及纪念建筑，属福建省文物保护单位，1991年4月17日公布。[7][8]

著名人物[edit]

清代书法家伊秉绶（1754～1815）是镇内的相关名人，其故居位于红卫村。[3][5]
