廖坊村位于清流县西部、里田乡西南部，西南与长汀县相接。[1]

村中建有明代的廖氏宗祠和清咸丰年间的节孝祠，村落四周有数百亩的百年古树群。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代胡姓在此开基，地名原为胡竹园，又名架上金盆。宋末元初，廖姓迁入，发展迅速，取代了胡姓；地名先称环溪乡，后改称廖坊。[1][2]

1931年，村中建立廖坊乡苏维埃政府，称汀东县廖坊乡苏维埃政府，同时组建汀东赤卫队，后改称汀东游击队。[2]

中华人民共和国成立后，村属清流县第五区李坊乡；1959年划入长校公社的里田管理区，1961年设廖坊大队，1984年改为廖坊村。[1]

建筑与遗迹[edit]

明代建有一座廖氏宗祠；清咸丰年间建节孝祠，朝廷为此赐「节孝」牌坊。村中另有宋代古墓。[2]

村落四周的百年古树群被用作风景绿化林。[1]
