余朋乡在福建省三明市清流县东部，距县城约43公里，是县辖的乡之一。全乡面积174平方千米，下辖余朋、蛟坑、东坑、芹溪、泰山5个行政村，有31个自然村和43个村民小组，乡人民政府设在余朋村。[1]
余朋公社于1984年改设为乡。境内林地面积大，矿产有萤石、锌铅矿、锰矿、石灰石、稀土等共19种。东坑村和芹溪村保存着明清时期的书院、祠堂与石桥等古迹。[1][3][6]
历史沿革[edit]
地名取自余姓先民。相传唐宋年间余姓最早在此定居，之后邱、邓、王等姓陆续迁入，余姓把他们当作朋友看待，地名因此而来。宋代，此地属折桂乡梦溪团。[3][4]
解放前此处是梦溪乡下的余蛟保，1950年前后设余蛟乡。公社化之后，1958年成为余蛟公社，次年归沙芜公社管理，改称余朋管理区。1962年复为余朋公社，至1984年改为余朋乡。[3]
地理环境[edit]
乡境在清流县东部，林地在全乡土地中占很大比重，博雅地名网称它是县内的主要林区。据县政府网站所载，全乡耕地7438亩，林地20.8万亩。[1][3]
人口民族[edit]
2000年第五次人口普查时，余朋乡人口为5635人。县政府网站2023年9月所载统计为1512户、6103人。[2][1]
经济[edit]
农业上，乡里以苗木花卉、莲子种植和高山茶油为特色产业，并有豆腐皮、蜂蜜、黄牛养殖等生产。[1]
文化[edit]
省爱卫部门于2020年12月将余朋乡列为「福建省卫生乡镇」。环境保护部在2014年9月授予余朋乡「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
东坑建筑群位于东坑村，建于明清时期，共七处古建筑，内有书院、祠堂、庙宇和民居，另有「陈氏一门」木牌楼。该建筑群于2018年列入福建省省级文物保护单位。[5]
东坑村跃子山上的龙吟静室由僧人是岸创建，始建于清顺治庚寅年（1650年）。[6]
芹溪村的荚氏宗祠、石拱桥和攀龙桥三处都建于清代，2018年7月30日（第五批）列为清流县县级文物保护单位。[3]
