洞口村位于沙芜乡境内，村名因建在两个大石洞口处而来。村中的狐狸洞为省级文物保护单位，1988年洞中发现了古人类化石。[2][4][1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地叫洞口保，解放初归沙芜第三区，当时设洞口乡。1958年起隶属沙芜公社，称洞口大队，1984年由大队改为村民委员会，沿用至今。[2][3]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予洞口村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2024年2月，村子被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象；2025年11月，经认定成为省级乡村振兴示范村（第二批）；2024年7月，村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[2]

地理环境[edit]

龙地溪谷水流常年不断，溪长约11公里，两岸山峰陡峭，树木茂密。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

狐狸洞在白马山腰开口，洞门向南，离附近河床约80米，洞身深十余米。[1][4] 1988年文物调查时，洞中采到的一枚古人类牙齿化石经中国社会科学院的研究所鉴定，为晚期智人的下齿，是福建首次在明确地点与地层中发现的人类化石。[1] 此后中国科学院专家将这批化石命名为「清流人」。[5]
