沙芜乡是福建省三明市清流县辖下的一个乡，[4]位于县境东南部，东面与永安市安砂镇隔界相望，南接永安市罗坊乡，西邻田源乡，北与嵩口镇、余朋乡相连。全乡水域宽广，渔业是乡里的基础产业；境内有省级风景名胜区九龙湖，狐狸洞也在乡内，洞中发现过古人类化石。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

乡名「沙芜」的来历，据博雅地名网所载：境内溪流下游沙滩外露、田地荒芜，因此得名；村口另有一块形似池塘的田地，又叫沙芜塘。[2]

今乡名自1984年起用，此前为沙芜公社。宋代此地属折桂乡梦溪团，明清时归梦溪里，1945年一度称梦溪乡。1958年改设跃进人民公社，次年才有沙芜公社之名，统辖沙芜、赖坊、余朋三个管理区；1962年赖坊与余朋分出，另设公社。[3][2]

福建省爱卫办于2020年12月把沙芜乡列为「福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]

地理环境[edit]

森林覆盖率为81.92%，林中以杉木、松树为多，阔叶树中常见甜槠、苦槠。[1] 境内探明的矿藏十余种，其中煤与铁储量最大，煤约1400万吨，铁逾120万吨，另有萤石、石灰石、石英沙等。[1]

人口[edit]

截至2019年末的户籍人口，百度百科记为4550人。[3] 政府网站2023年9月的介绍则给出户籍4386人、常住1801人，二者年份与口径都不同，此处并列。[1]

经济[edit]

渔业为全乡基础产业，养殖面积约一万亩，养殖方式有池塘、库湾、大水面与工厂化四种。[1] 主要养殖的品种有草鱼、鳙鱼、鲢鱼、鲤鱼，以及鳜鱼、鲫鱼、白刀和鳗鲡等。[1] 乡政府网站称，全乡是中国地理标志「清流溪鱼」的主产地。[1]

乡里曾成立渔业协会，请专业技术人员定期为养殖户培训，并办起九龙湖鱼干加工厂，以提高水产品的附加值。[9]

名胜古迹[edit]

九龙湖为省级风景名胜区，2004年11月经福建省政府列入。[1] 湖心有神龟岛，对岸白马山中的溶洞群称九龙洞群，洞内钟乳石密布，有「生命之源」等上百处景观。[7][8][6]

狐狸洞位于洞口村，为省级文物保护单位，洞中所出的古人类化石使福建人类活动的历史向前推进一万多年。[5][1]

其他文物古迹中，龙地的案桥为明代嘉靖年间所建的拱桥，以干砌法筑成，至今未有损坏。[1] 洞口村对岸的燕子岩，据民国《清流县志》所载，1857年5月太平军石达开部曾屯兵于此，洞中仍留有石阶、隘口与瞭望台遗迹。[1] 沙芜乡内另有道光年间刻立的奉宽碑，碑文为水上航运的告示。[1] 1950年建、1976年重建的沙芜烈士纪念碑，纪念在剿匪斗争中牺牲的干部。[1]
