地名与沿革[edit]

村名源于村中油桐树较多。[1]

中华人民共和国成立前，村子属合心乡管辖，后归嵩口区，又改隶嵩溪区。新中国成立后属温郊公社；1958年人民公社成立后设桐坑大队，仍属温郊乡；1984年起改设桐坑村村民委员会，此名至今未变。[1]

产业与村域[edit]

村中企业以氟化工与萤石采选为主，其中氟化工深加工类的省级重点企业有2家。[1][2]

村域耕地1647亩，山林4.9万亩。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村子获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱卫办确定。2025年3月，村子被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
