东山村是赖坊镇下辖的行政村，位于镇北部。村名因后龙山称东山而来。村中有传统手工艺东山草席，席草种植与草席编织已有数百年历史。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属罗村里；1945年时隶属村里乡东寨保。1950年2月，改归清流县赖坊乡。1961年设东山大队，1984年改为东山村村民委员会，2016年随乡改镇，归赖坊镇管辖。[1]

经济[edit]

东山草席以席草为原料。席草又名三棱草，春季栽种，秋季收割，割回后剖开暴晒，待农闲时泡软编织。草席由农户自制木质织机，全部手工完成。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，东山村获「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号。[1]
