留坑村是长校镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的最南端，南与连城县四堡乡交界，东面与灵地镇步云村相接。[1]

村子是革命基点村。旧名太平村，因村南有太平寨而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在解放前属堡里乡留茜保。此后先归灵地区留茜乡，1951年划入五区，称留坑乡；1956年起归灵地区，编入长校乡；1958年改隶长校公社，1961年成为其中的留坑大队。1984年设长校乡留坑村民委员会，此后沿用至今。[1]

据博雅地名网，村中谢氏先祖自江苏昆山南迁入闽，宋英宗治平元年（1064年）其后人迁来此地开基创业。[3]

人口民族[edit]

2012年时村中有350户、1452人；谢姓占70%，童姓占23%，李姓占5%，马姓占3%，人口主要集中在留坑村。[3]

地理环境[edit]

全村由赤土岗、嶂下和主村三个自然村组成，共13个村民小组。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

留坑村李德炳住宅红军标语旧址位于嶂下小组五号，为李德炳、童春花的住宅。1931年1月，闽西红军一支进入长校一带开展工作，此处标语即是那一时期所写。正厅两侧和过道共有4处标语，其中一条写着穷人不打穷人，士兵不打士兵。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，留坑村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，认定单位是福建省农业农村厅。[1]
