步云村位于灵地镇西北部，地处灵地镇与连城县北团镇、四堡乡三地交界处，距镇区约十三公里，是镇内最西边的行政村。村落原名李家寮，因地势高，据称改名步云。[1]
2021年7月，步云村列入第四批省级传统村落名录。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前村地归群英乡姚坊保管辖。1950年时村名为李家寮，隶属灵地区的李家寮乡；1961年成为灵地公社下的李家寮大队；1984年改为灵地乡辖的李家寮村。1992年村名改为步云，并设村民委员会。[1]
自然环境[edit]
村域海拔800多米，林地面积三万余亩，耕地约一千八百亩，以农业和林业为主，其中茶叶种植较多。[1]
