地理环境[edit]

村名由五个村合为一体后的统称而来。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

此地的旧属可追溯到明清的仓盈里大源村；民国年间并入复兴乡，所在保名为大源保。1950年，此地划归清流县第一区的大源乡。[1]

1961年，此地成为嵩口公社的和元大队；1984年才改设嵩口镇和元村，并设村民委员会。[1]

2024年7月，村获「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」称号。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植林木、苗木，以及烤烟、粮食和油茶为生计。[2]

村中一处家庭农场种有蓝莓，每年5月至9月可供游客采摘。[3]
