嵩口村是嵩口镇下辖的行政村，位于清流县中部，村名与镇名相同。全村辖6个自然村、18个村民小组。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属仓盈里的嵩口营，又分上营与下营。民国时期归复兴乡嵩口保管辖，所辖村落有嵩口上坪、下坪、高坑、月汤、马排等十多处。[2]

1951年划为一区嵩口乡，此后经卫星公社、嵩口公社的建制，1984年改设嵩口镇嵩口村，并设村民委员会。[2]

福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月把本村纳入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年1月，村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。2026年1月，清流县第一批地名保护名录把村名收入，作为百年以上的古村落地名。[1][3]

经济[edit]

村里的工业以水电、林产加工与轻纺服装为主，种植业以各类水果和烤烟为主，另有水产养殖。[1]

文化[edit]

村中仍保留土法榨油的技艺，林业生产的传统也延续至今。[3]
