伍家坊村东邻黄沙口村，北与罗陂岗村相接，南与农科村相连。村名因最早由伍氏人在此居住而得。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属永德乡群周保。1951年归二区，设伍家坊乡；1961年转为嵩溪公社的伍家坊大队；1984年由乡下辖的伍家坊村民委员会接续。[1]

1933年，红军曾帮助村里建立乡政权。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻和烤烟种植为主，另有豆腐皮加工和水产养殖。2003年起引进苗木花卉种植，面积1000多亩。[1][3]

境内蕴藏石灰石矿和钨矿。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年福建省卫生村称号于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办命名授予伍家坊村。[1]
