余坊村位于嵩溪镇西北部，地势较高，村名因居民从将乐县余家坪迁来、皆为余姓而得。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
余坊在1961年为嵩溪公社下的余坊大队；1984年起设嵩溪乡余坊村的村民委员会，直到今天。[1]
经济[edit]
村里以种植水稻、烤烟和蔬菜为主。1974年高地水库建成后，粮食产量逐年提高；1991年开始种植烤烟。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
余坊红军战斗旧址（余氏家庙）位于村中，为县级文物保护单位。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年7月，村被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
