产业[edit]
村里以烤烟为主导产业，同时养殖土鸡、番鸭，并养鱼、养黄羊，这些是村里的特色产业。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
基头要塞遗址在短阴岭上，三座方形堡垒上下相接，为县级文物保护单位。1933年11月末，闽赣游击队四百余人在此与敌五十二师交战。[2]
石洞寨又名石砻寨，位于石龙山的半山腰，在基头村、暖水村与宁化县的交界处。宋代官府曾在此设“举子仓”，宋元两代都曾作为防寇避乱之所。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，村子获评「2022年福建省卫生村」，评定单位为省爱国卫生运动委员会。[1]
