中溪村位于夏坊乡东南部，离乡政府约30公里，离明溪县城约50公里，西侧与宁化县泉上镇及枫溪乡接壤。[1]

地名由来[edit]

枫溪流经村中，村子因此得名中溪。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子处于山区丘陵中的河谷盆地。[2]

沿革[edit]

1958年初隶宁化县，此后几经划转，1968年归红卫公社，大队名为中溪；1981年6月起属夏坊公社中溪大队。1983年设夏坊区中溪乡，1987年成为夏坊乡中溪村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2024年7月，又被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
