苎畲村位于夏坊乡政府东部，距乡政府约15公里，地处君子峰国家级自然保护区内，2016年纳入第四批中国传统村落之列。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，夏姓始祖曾先后迁居数处山畲，来到此地后取家乡的“苎”字与“畲”字合称“苎畲”。[1]

据百度百科，村庄始建于唐末五代，村名源于夏氏先祖的迁徙历程。[2]

沿革[edit]

早年先隶宁化，后在清宁、宁化与明溪之间数度改属，1968年改称红卫公社苎畲村，1981年6月归夏坊公社管辖。1983年为夏坊区苎畲乡，1987年改设夏坊乡苎畲村委会，沿用至今。[1]

红色遗址与文物[edit]

红3军团的部分主力于1932年3月进入鳌龙一带，同年12月本村设立苎畲乡苏维埃政府，驻夏氏三房祠，1934年8月随主力红军转移停止活动。[3]

县级文物保护单位有苎畲乡苏维埃政府旧址（夏氏祠堂）一处，位于本村。其遗址原为夏氏三房祠，清代建筑，现已损毁。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，2024年7月被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
