鳌坑村位于夏坊乡政府东北部，距乡政府约5公里，村内有鳌龙区苏维埃政府旧址。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于两座形似“鳌”的山之间，山前有一条山坑，故名鳌坑。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年称夏坊区鳌坑乡，1987年改为夏坊乡鳌坑村委会。[1]

红色遗址[edit]

1932年前后，鳌龙区委与区苏维埃政府曾驻本村关帝庙，鳌龙区苏维埃政府旧址由此留存于村内。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，本村入选第一批国家森林乡村名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2023年2月，本村上榜「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
