地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，早年杨姓先民居住在上方的「杨厝坪」，后来迁往其下方的新址，那里人丁兴旺，地名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子在明清时隶属归化县中和里。1933年划为四区的辖地，1941年称夏阳乡复兴保，1954年归夏阳区管辖。1958年一度划归三明县，设夏阳公社夏阳大队；1964年随县境调整回到明溪县。1983年改为夏阳区的夏阳乡，1987年起定名夏阳乡夏阳村。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把夏阳村定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
村子于2022年10月获福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年7月，村获「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」称号。[1]
