余坊村是城关乡下辖的行政村，属高山片区，距县城约12公里。[1]

村名来自余氏族人在此开基定居，形成自然村落，因而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1964年明溪县恢复设置后，余坊为雪峰公社余坊大队；1969年改属城关公社余坊大队，1981年6月随公社更名划归雪峰公社。1983年改称城关区后设余坊乡人民政府，1987年改为城关乡余坊村委会，沿用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，余坊村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，余坊村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
