淮山种植是村里的主导产业。[2]
2015年8月，农业部认定狮窠村为「第五批全国一村一品示范村镇」，产品为狮窠淮山。[1]
2020年12月，狮窠村入选「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，项目同为狮窠淮山。[1]
狮窠淮山获得国家级「一村一品」认证，并入选全国「土特产」名录，深加工产品销往福州、厦门。[3]

狮窠村在2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1969年雪峰公社分开后，狮窠村隶属城关公社。1982年它是城关区下的狮窠乡；1983年6月起改由雪峰公社管辖，1987年11月起称城关乡狮窠村委会。[1]
