王桥村位于明溪县城关乡西郊，是城关乡下辖的行政村，也是老区基点村。[1]

村名取自辖区内王坊、五里桥两个自然村的首字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1952年曾称王桥乡。1958年起它是三明县上游人民公社的一个大队，1959年改隶雪峰公社。1964年明溪县恢复后，仍归雪峰公社，1969年转入城关公社，1981年6月重回雪峰公社。1982年称城关乡王桥大队，1987年改为王桥村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

王桥村在2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2021年12月，王桥村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅把王桥村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
