历史沿革[edit]
1958年时坪埠隶属三明县的上游人民公社，下设坪埠大队；次年划入雪峰公社。1964年明溪县恢复设置后，它仍在雪峰公社之内。1967年归城关公社，1983年起归城关区管辖，设坪埠人民政府；1987年11月又被改造为城关乡的坪埠村委会。[1]

截至2017年，全村共有734户2497人。[2]
经济[edit]
2025年11月，坪埠村被确定为「福建省2025年度省级“一村一品”专业村」（茶叶）。[1]
文化[edit]
村中留有两处红色遗迹，分别是「毛泽东调查活动旧址」与「滴水岩红军战地医院旧址」。[2][3]
毛泽东调查活动旧址即万春桥，位于村部东北约300米。毛泽东曾在此做调查研究、指导土地革命，这座桥因此成为其调查研究理论的实践地，现列为县级文物保护单位。[1][3]
滴水岩红军战地医院旧址在村子西北面。[1]
赖水金烈士墓位于谢厝湾自然村，县气象局北面约30米。[1]
2022年10月，坪埠村被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年1月，坪埠村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
2021年4月，坪埠村被命名为「2021年三明市民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
