坪地村在明溪县瀚仙镇北部，距县城约15公里。村名的来历是地势并不平坦，于是取“平”字的反义而定名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，本地归归化县兴善里一都管辖。1941年改归龟山乡浒坪保，1950年成为第一区龟山乡的一部分，1954年又设雪峰区坪地乡。[1][3]

1961年自洋龙大队析出，单设坪地大队。1964年明溪县复置，坪地大队归雪峰公社管辖。1981年6月起属瀚仙公社坪地大队，1983年又改成瀚仙区坪地乡。[1][3]

人口民族[edit]

2011年本村有175户、673人，下设7个村民小组。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，本村先后被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
