画桥村位于盖洋镇中部，村内有交战公路与盖洋溪穿过，离镇区约12公里，离县城13公里[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

建村时村中有一座漂亮如画的桥，村名因此而来[1]。

1983年设盖洋区画桥乡人民政府，1987年起为盖洋镇画桥村委会，至今未改[1]。2021年11月，画桥村获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。2024年7月，画桥村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」[1]。
