木科村位于南阳乡东北部，距乡政府约2.5千米。村名早先写作「墓窠」，因坟墓与山窠而得名，后改称木科。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地古属七都，建国前为潮阳乡的暮溪保，建国后设二区暮窠乡，1951年改为四区暮窠乡，1956年并入南阳乡，归高砂区管辖。1958年时归南阳公社，设木科大队，1984年改为南阳乡木科村村民委员会。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
