南阳乡在福建省三明市沙县区东南部，乡政府驻南阳村，离沙县城区约25千米，土地面积65.4平方千米。[1][2]

向莆铁路与厦沙高速公路穿过乡境，厦沙高速在乡内设有南阳互通口。境内山林连绵，罗岩山一带有古道、古庙与省级森林公园。南阳建置形成已有上千年，旧时是沙县通往福州与延平的要隘。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里隶属新昌乡感义里。1984年8月起，原南阳公社改行乡制，乡名定为南阳。[2][4]

这一带旧称「水潮洋」，地势低洼，暴雨后河道窄浅、水流迟缓，田地与街道时常变成一片水面。「洋」字改为「阳」后取名潮阳，之后又从南山尾与潮阳各取一字，定名南阳。[5]

明代此地分属六都与七都。1930年前后，地名由「洋」改为「阳」，称潮阳，建国前一段时间称潮阳乡。1951年潮阳改名南阳，1956年与高砂合并为第三区，此后一度并入红专人民公社，1961年底改为南阳公社。[4]

地理环境[edit]

全乡处于亚热带季风区，气候湿润：年平均气温11至25摄氏度，无霜期超过300天，年降水量约1600毫米。[1]

集镇距沙县区机场约20千米，距三明北站约24千米；乘高速车到福州约需2小时。[1]

文化[edit]

2017年，「罗岩太保信俗」列入福建省非物质文化遗产名录，并列入代表性项目名录。这一信仰顺着沙溪的水路与陆路流传，沿河谷两岸铺开，远达福建其他地区。[1]

经济[edit]

全乡种植葡萄已成规模，养殖项目有蜜蜂、肉兔与澳洲淡水龙虾等，部分农户以「农家乐」接待垂钓与餐饮。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

位于大基口村的邓将军墓，墓主为唐代的邓光布将军。墓葬由唐代石构墓室和清代重修的凤形砖墓两部分组成，现为福建省文物保护单位。[6]

位于华村罗岩山腰的罗岩庙，庙内供奉蛇神，即「罗岩太保」，为县级文物保护单位。[7]

罗岩山一带的森林公园内，罗岩福道串联罗岩古道等景点，已被列为国家3A级旅游景区。[7]

荣誉[edit]

南阳乡先后获得「国家级生态乡镇」「省级生态乡镇」与「省级文明乡镇」的称号。[1]
