溪源村位于南霞乡东北部，离乡政府约17公里，土地面积在全乡各村中最大，下辖三个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改设为村，沿用至今。之前的沿革：明清时属八都，民国时期为南霞乡南溪保；建国初期归二区霞村乡，1951年7月设为九区溪源乡，1955年转入镇头区霞村乡；1958年4月撤区并乡，仍归霞村乡，同年10月成立卫星公社溪源大队；1961年改属南坑仔工委霞村公社，1963年11月改隶南坑仔公社溪源大队。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

南坑观音山寨位于南坑自然村的东南，是明代的古遗迹，坐东南朝西北。沿中轴线分布寨门、寨墙和房基等遗迹，全寨占地约1平方公里。[2]

村内的观音岩一带有生态游古道，古木繁多。[1]

荣誉[edit]

溪源村于2024年1月获「2023年福建省卫生村」的称号。[2]
