大洛镇隶属福建省三明市沙县区，处在区境南端。东边接壤南霞乡和尤溪县，南边与湖源乡、大田县为邻，西侧靠着洋溪镇，北面是虬江街道。镇域面积117平方千米，镇人民政府驻大洛村，邮政编码365061，电话区号0598。[1][2][4]
历史沿革[edit]
地名的来历是：乐姓人家最早在此定居建村，村名起初叫作“大乐”，后因读音相近改称“大洛”。[3]
明代此地隶属沙县仪奉团，清代仍旧，民国时归杨光乡。新中国成立后先归第五区，1958年改入上游公社的洋溪地区。1961年洋溪设立工作委员会，此地分设大洛、洋溪、湖源三处小公社；1963年大洛又与洋溪重新合并为大洛公社，1972年洋溪复又独立。1984年设为大洛乡，2000年7月改为镇。[2][3]
荣誉上，环境保护部于2014年6月认定本镇为「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」；2021年2月列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2023年12月评定「2023年度福建省森林乡镇」；2024年1月又被命名「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[3]
地理环境[edit]
全境海拔在400至1537米之间，最高峰锣拔顶位居全区之首。山林面积约14.63万亩，其中竹林约6.88万亩；耕地约1.41万亩。304省道贯穿全境，各自然村已通水泥路。[1]
镇域属中亚热带季风性气候。[2]

区政府网站的乡镇简介称，全镇有3281户居民，人口为10657人（未注明年份）；百度百科则记2020年总人口为10957人。[1][2]
全镇28个自然村中有1个畲族村，即昌荣村。[1]
