桂岩村在高桥镇北部，离高桥集镇约18公里，有2个自然村，境内有天台山。[1]

该村共239户、948人（该页未注明统计年份）。[1]

2022年10月，被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年7月，被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子先因姓氏得名，后因左侧有桂花树、右侧有赤岩，取名桂岩。[3]

明清时属沙县第十四都。新中国成立前是高桂乡的桂岩保，此后为高桥区桂岩乡。1958年归入上坑大队，1961年另立一个大队，隶属高桥公社；1984年改设村民委员会，沿用至今。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

张厝有天台山石庙，建在天台山上，以花岗岩石砌成。博雅地名网记其建于宋代，约公元1112年。[2]
