杉口村在高桥镇北部，离高桥集镇约7公里，辖5个自然村。该村为沙县区级乡村振兴示范村。[1]

该村共599户、2161人（该页未注明统计年份）。[1]

2023年11月，被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」；2024年6月，列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2024年7月，被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

古时称山口，因在杉木山的出口处，后改名杉口。[3]

古时属沙县十四都。新中国成立前为高桂乡的杉窠保，此后设高桥区杉口乡；1954年分出官林窠乡，1956年归夏茂区的杉口乡，1958年建杉口大队，隶属高桥公社，1984年改设杉口村村民委员会。[4]

该村是革命老区村。闽西北游击纵队的司令员林志群曾在林墩、新坑设据点，村内留有林家祖厝与林墩战役遗址。[1]
