高桥镇是福建省三明市沙县区下辖的镇，位于沙县区正北部，离县城约25公里，省道304线与京福高速公路穿镇而过。[1][2]

镇名“高桥”，据博雅地名网所载，出于张确高中状元归乡时村中正在修桥，遂取“高第”之意。沙县区人民政府网则称沙县第一名状元张确为高桥人，时在南唐保大三年（945年），博雅地名网记其高中状元于宋开宝八年（975年），两说年代不同，本条并存。[1][2][3]

福建省爱卫办授予高桥镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号，时在2020年12月；2021年2月，高桥镇列入「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属沙县翔鸾乡的化剑里，元代设善居、善宁二团，明清时分属十二、十三、十四都。[3]

民国时期先后实行区乡制与保甲制，1940年2月由联保改为乡镇，称高桂乡。1949年8月废除保甲，高桂乡由县政府直辖；1950年10月，于高桂乡之外另设第六区，区政府驻高桥。[3][4]

1952年8月改设高桥镇；1955年1月镇级建制撤销；1956年10月高桥区撤销，此地并入夏茂区管辖。[3][4]

1958年10月，此地并入高潮人民公社的高桥地区，1963年11月设高桥公社。1984年8月改设高桥乡，1993年1月27日撤乡建镇，复称高桥镇。[3][4]

2002年9月，梨树乡撤销，原梨树乡的池窠、新桥、泉水峡三村并入高桥镇。[3][5]

2021年1月，沙县经国务院批准撤县设区，改称三明市沙县区；同年3月31日，镇政府换挂沙县区高桥镇人民政府的牌子。[3]

1949年前，林志群等革命家率领的游击队曾在这一带活动，全镇14个行政村中有13个是革命老区基点村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇内山地较多，天台山是其中较高的山峰，主峰海拔1078米。据沙县区人民政府网，全镇总面积215.69平方千米，森林覆盖率占83.3%（两项数字均未注明统计年份）。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

天台山石庙位于桂岩村张厝，建在天台山主峰一带，座北朝南，以花岗岩石砌成，高、宽约2.5米，深约2米。博雅地名网记其建于宋代，约公元1112年。[2]

据沙县区人民政府网，杉口村的林墩留有林家祖厝和林墩战役遗址；闽西北游击纵队的司令员林志群曾在该村林墩、新坑一带创立据点。[1]
