瓦溪村位于夏茂镇西部，距集镇约18公里。村名的由来：早期村中有瓦厂建在小溪边，故名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前属顺昌县元坑区；建国后先是该区的一个乡，1960年改划归沙县，隶夏茂公社。1977年独立成队，1984年改设瓦溪村村民委员会。[2]
人口与土地[edit]
2017年政府页称：村中有4个自然村，包括瓦溪主村、溪坪村与板山村等。5个村民小组，126户、646人，许、廖两姓居多。全村土地17287.5亩，林地13094亩，耕地473.31亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，瓦溪村获「2023年福建省卫生村」的命名。[2]
