车溪村位于夏茂镇南部，距集镇约13公里。村庄建在溪边，溪上曾有水车用来碾米，村名由此而来。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年另设车溪大队；1963年归夏茂公社辖制；1984年起改称车溪村村委会，此后隶属夏茂镇。[2]
人口与土地[edit]
2017年政府页称：车溪村有车溪主村、牛栏乾、山岭下、土堡、东坑乡里五个自然村；166户、663人住在5个村民小组里，主姓为邓、谢、茅等。土地19707.9亩，林地17930亩，耕地413.29亩。[1]
