岩坑村位于夏茂镇南部，距集镇约12公里，是从夏茂镇前往莲花山白云观的必经之地。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
村庄建在多岩石的山脚，村名由此而来。1961年11月设岩坑大队，1984年10月起为岩坑村村民委员会，名称延用至今。[2]

2017年政府页称：岩坑村包括岩坑主村与上村两个自然村，编为5个村民小组，有114户、458人，张、黄为主要姓氏。土地9195.15亩，林地7615亩，耕地313.87亩。[1]
