柱源村位于沙县区城东南，辖柱源、胡厝、灰厂三个自然村，土地总面积6887亩，村民以范、陈、胡三姓为主。[1]

村名原作畴源，因方言中“畴”与“柱”读音相近，写成了柱源。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，此处称畴源村，隶属八都。民国时期划入镇头乡茅源保。1958年后先归茅坪大队，1984年起属琅口乡茅坪村委会，1993年改属琅口镇。[2][3]

1997年，从茅坪村委会分出，另立柱源村委会。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

村内有「三明（沙县）国家级农业科技园」，三明市农科院也设在村中。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
