长红村位于沙县城南，与三明北站、沙县机场相邻，辖长红、鸭母道、大坑、下坑、新庄五个自然村，土地总面积16264亩，村民以黄、王二姓为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名早先写作长降，因谐音的缘故改为长红。1966年，村称长红大队；1984年，设为虬江乡长红村村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年7月，被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[2]
