翠绿社区位于沙县城南，北以沙溪河为界，西至嘉禾路，南至凤凰路，东边沿洋坊路中线延伸到洛溪桥为止，辖区面积2.68平方千米。[1]

社区名称取自驻地所在的翠绿山庄。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

翠绿社区于2010年12月17日从城南社区析置而来，此后归虬江街道管辖。2021年6月，社区迁至如今的办公处。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

社区获评「全国综合减灾示范社区」「福建省充分就业社区」，又获「福建省司法厅人民调解先进团体」称号，此外还有「县平安家庭示范社区」「县先进基层党组织」等荣誉。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」；2025年12月，社区列入「2025年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[2]
