虬江街道设在福建省三明市沙县区，位于县城区南部、沙溪河南岸。全街道辖5个社区和19个行政村，面积114.14平方千米。[1]

街道东邻高砂镇与南阳乡，南接大洛镇与南霞乡，西南与三元区洋溪镇交界，北岸隔沙溪河与凤岗街道相望。电话区号为0598。[1][3][4]

境内有孝子坊民居、将军祠等文物，三明北站和三明生态新城位于辖区，205国道与308省道穿境而过。[1][9]

历史沿革[edit]

沙县建县后，这一带长期属沙县管辖。新中国成立后，其地分属沙县第一区的凤岗镇与第二区的镇头乡；1958年起改由城关人民公社和镇头人民公社分别管辖。[2]

1981年，城关公社改称虬江公社。1984年，城区一带的部分农业生产大队被划入凤岗镇，原虬江公社则改建为虬江乡；镇头公社随之改称琅口乡，该乡于1993年又改设为镇。[2]

1997年，琅口镇茅坪村委会分设为茅坪、琅口、柱源三个村委会；2000年，琅口镇的古县村划归凤岗镇。[2]

2003年，沙县取消了凤岗镇、虬江乡与琅口镇的建制，并在沙溪河南岸另设街道，即虬江街道。[4][5]

地理环境[edit]

街道地处县城区南部，北面以沙溪河为界。据博雅地名网，地名源于一则传说：沙溪河沙县城关一段河中曾有一条长角小龙，因此此段河被称为虬江，沙县城关也被叫作虬城。[6]

205国道与308省道贯穿街道全境，厦沙高速公路在此设有虬江出口，三明北站位于辖区内。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

孝子坊民居，又称陈家大厝，位于茶丰峡村大水湾，建于清道光九年（1829年），占地约8980平方米，内院由三座并列的木构建筑组成，是沙县保存最完好、规模最大的清代古民居。该民居为省级文物保护单位。[1][7]

将军祠位于水南村，供奉的是唐代崇安镇将邓光布。宋代已有祠宇，名为灵卫侯邓公祠，经多次修葺，现存木构为清康熙三十二年（1693年）重建之物；1996年以后，邓氏后裔集资重修。[8][10]

水南将军渡旧址是唐代的古文化遗址，位于水南村；金泉邓驿墓为宋嘉定十一年（1218年）的古墓葬，在金泉村林业新村西南。二者都收入近年文物普查新登记的名录。[9]

邓肃墓位于曹元村，为南宋古墓葬。墓主邓肃为南宋左正言，绍兴二年（1132年）安葬于此，墓碑刻文经清乾隆十五年（1750年）重修。[10]

沙阳乐园位于凤凰路旁，1997年12月对外开放，园内有凤凰山森林公园等景点，属国家2A级旅游区。[13][14]

三明生态新城湿地公园又称如意湖湿地公园，位于金桥路，占地约45.84公顷，对外免费开放。[12]

文化[edit]

后底村的虬江后底红粬制作技艺被列入沙县区区级非遗项目。[11]
