井后村位于凤岗街道南端，南临沙溪河，西侧通向陈大镇班竹岭峡，北侧为三姑木西花（桂花）峡，东北侧是水尾鹅垅峡。村域面积约6.56平方千米，辖3个村民小组。[1]
村名的来历是：村子四面环山，形状似“井”，因而得名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
中华人民共和国成立后，村内先后经历互助组、飞星社等组织形式。1958年设井后生产大队，1981年为井后大队，1984年改为井后村委会，沿用至今。[2]
资源[edit]
森林覆盖率82.8%，有林地9383亩，其中毛竹林1671.8亩。耕地412亩，水田占93.45%。另有果园50亩、菜地20亩、小山塘10亩。[1]
村内有两座小水电站，总装机容量800千瓦。[1]

陈、余、郑、官四种姓氏人口合计占全村人口的70.4%。[1]
