际岩村处在洞天岩水库保护区的西侧。村子南部与三姑村接壤，西部与富口镇佑溪村为界，北部与灵元村相连。村域面积约7.06平方千米，辖3个村民小组，村内没有自然村落。村部海拔540米。[1]

博雅地名网称，此地早年因桂花树多而得名。[2]

地形与山林[edit]

村西侧的鹰嘴峰海拔965米，与三姑村的葫芦山同高，为凤岗第二高峰。山脚下牛浆坑一带有山林500亩，1998年被列入天然森林保护区。[1]

林地约1.08万亩，其中毛竹林4082亩，另有生态林2743亩。森林覆盖率84.6%。[1]

耕地602亩，其中水田占96.18%，另有果园30亩、常年菜地10亩。[1]
