西霞村位于凤岗街道东北侧，距城区中心约6公里，三面环山。村域面积20.37平方千米，下辖西霞、庵头、南丰、樟墩、大坑、廖坑6个自然村，共9个村民小组。[1]
村名取意：村子朝西，傍晚夕阳西下时晚霞映照，故得此名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
村子古属十都，建国后划入高砂区，设西霞乡。1958年成立红旗公社，1962年改设西霞公社，1984年改称西霞乡，2000年撤并到凤岗镇。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
