东山村位于凤岗街道城区东部。村子东侧与高砂镇顺溪洋相接，南、西、北三面分别与古县村、北门村、际口村、西霞村相邻。土地总面积15.18平方千米。[1][2]

历史沿革与地名[edit]

村子历属迎恩、城东两坊（保），俗称「七街」「建设」。[1]

地形与林业[edit]

村域内有四座海拔350米以上的高峰，其中莲花山海拔561米，为最高。[1]

有林地8831亩，其中经济林7954亩，森林覆盖率68%。水田占耕地的96.85%，耕地共304亩。[1]
