历史沿革[edit]
村名取自村子后面的岩石与村中的一道沟坑。[2]
1958年人民公社化时期，村属莘口公社，设蓬坑大队；1983年改设莘口办事处下的蓬坑村。[2]
经济[edit]
2009年，村里改种特早蜜桔，柑橘产业由此转型。[1]
村内出产笋干、野香菇、红菇、木耳及药材。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
