历史沿革[edit]
1958年，村子并入莘口公社，成为楼源大队。1983年起称楼源村，1987年又改设村民委员会，延续至今。[1]
20世纪70年代前后，因泉州三美水库建设，部分村民从泉州迁入此地。[1]
经济[edit]
蔬菜种植是村中的特色产业。[2]
文化[edit]
2017年7月，农业部认定本村为「第七批全国一村一品示范村镇」（蔬菜）。本村在2019年12月公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单中榜上有名。2020年12月，本村入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」（蔬菜）名单。[2]
2021年2月，本村在「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单中上榜；2021年11月，本村获「2021年福建省卫生村」命名；2021年12月，本村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[2]
2024年，村内的格氏栲古树群入选「第四批福建最美古树群」。[1]
